Hi, I’m Paul, a children’s book author, magazine publisher, and proud dad living on the beautiful south coast of Australia. My love for writing kids’ books started with my daughter Edie (that’s me and her in the picture below).
She was absolutely obsessed with the color purple, so I wrote I Love Purple just for her. Seeing her joy as we read it together sparked something in me, and I’ve been creating books for her (and kids everywhere) ever since.
As an indie author, I love being involved in every part of the process – writing stories, working with talented illustrators, publishing, and looking after the marketing. It’s a wild and wonderful adventure, but nothing compares to the feeling of holding a finished book in my hands, knowing it might become a child’s new favorite bedtime story.
Before diving into children’s books, I lived in the UK and spent years writing about food and drink, a job that took me all over the world (yes, it was as fun as it sounds). Now, as a magazine publisher, I think a lot about how stories connect with readers – big and small.
